English 1101 is no more! Final class was today. It was all of ten minutes. He returned our folders of homework for the course, we gave him our essays and e-mail addresses and that was it.
Since the summer course was every day, I didn't have time for memes. The fall class I'm taking, College Algebra, is only 50 minutes a day, 3 times a week. I'll be trying to get back into the memes again.
So the first meme I'm back to? The Monday Mission!
1. What is your favorite snack food? Does anyone you know have weird tastes in snacks? Tostitos Snack Kits - Chips & Cheese. YUM!
2. Ever caught yourself saying "well it can't get any worse" and it does? What's the story there? Doesn't that always happen when you have money troubles?
3. I have a super-short attention span, and it always was my downfall in school, especially math class. What's your attention span like and how has it served you? It depends on the subject. If it's boring, it will be short. If's interesting to me, it will have a bulk of my attention.
4. Do you believe in the existence of extra-terrestrials? Is there life outside of Earth? I believe so. Is it hanging around Earth? I don't want to think or know.
5. What do you think of the whole "crop circles" phenomenon? They get you wondering but they are probably fake.
6. Ever had a time where you begin visiting with someone you don't know all that well and just find you "click" like long lost pals? Tell me about how that came to happen, and who was it? What kind of things do you have in common? Not really, because I am shy. But I did find my old junior high friend Vickie earlier this month. ![]()
7. When I was at the cemetery a few weeks ago, I began to recall my Dad's funeral so many years ago. It is so vivid, sitting there in the family room as his friends passed by and paid their respects, the music, his face, the tears. What funeral do you remember most vividly? I've only been to one funeral: that of my Grandma's. You can read about it in my Wednesday, June 13, 2001 post
BONUS: How can I forget you, girl? I don't know but now I want to listen to some NKOTB! ![]()
Also, was it just me or did anyone else have flashbacks to the Jessica McClure story when watching the footage of the miners brought back to the surface?
