I Felt As If I Shouldn't Have Been There.
June 4, 2002

I feel odd today. I enjoyed going to class but now, I feel like I shouldn't have been there - not with me having a full time job.

I don't have a class tomorrow or Thursday but I have assignments I must do. Today, beside introductions to what it expected in the class, we had to write a paragraph essay about whet we want out of the class. Most other people had short answers. But not me. No, I had to write a paragraph that should have been two paragraphs to begin with. And it was most of the paper.

I don't know what to expect of that class. But now I'm at work doing work. I hope I can hurry up and finish it so I can get some classwork done while I have a roomy desk and computer at my disposal today.

And now, the Tuesday Too

1.) Is there a goal, or something you value highly that a simple time commitment would put within your reach? What is it? Why is it important to you? If it's a high school, or college degree that is of the utmost importance to you, why is it significant beyond the obvious reason (i.e. job)? The goal is to one day get a college degree to shove in the face of those that frown upon me not having on. Shove it in the face of those that said I'd never go. And if I ever do want a better job, I'll need a degree.

2.) Why haven't you done this already? If you're already working towards it, tell us about a particularly difficult hurtle. I've attempted college before but I didn't have the courage or confidence needed. After working full time for 2 years, I have it. That's why I went back to school today.

3.) Be realistic. How much time can you comit towards making it happen? At the current moment, one hour a day before work I go to class. *Smile*

I am so proud of you for going back to school. I want to go back so bad! I was going, but I got pregnant with Makenzie. I wouldn't change that for anything now, but I do miss it. I will go back when she gets a little bit older. I enjoy staying home with her. I am very proud of you, and hope you do well. I wouldn't worry about it too much, maybe you just had the first day jitters. Good luck!
