I am a college student.
I went to Armstrong today during work hours. Don't worry, I didn't slack off my work to go there. Since my printer was out of ink, I borrowed H's printer cartage until she came to work to do my work. Then, I went to the school to do what I had to do.
It's over 100°F outside! Ouch. And I wore jeans. Big mistake for today.
First, I paid the $434.00 for the one class I'm taking. I registered early this morning. Like at 6:30 AM via my computer. Thanfully, there wer 6 slots left for the English 1101 I needed. After the trip to the cashier's office, I made my way to the bookstore and bought my books. The only thing I didn't get done that I needed to get done for a photo ID. They'll be open after 1:00 PM tomorrow so I'll be sure to do that. Can't access the computer lab without it.
Ack! I forgot a college dictionary! I better go to Books-A-Million today before I go home and get one. More charges on the credit card.
Now I'm back at work having lunch and waiting for the boss to buy shopping supplies.
Monday Mission time!
1. Who or where do you go to when you need help for web-related problems? Usually, I go to htmlgoodies.com since HTML is usually the web-related problem I have.
2. There is a big mess of gossip going on in Blogland due to revelations about a very popular Blogger. I got very caught up in reading all the links to links about it until I stopped myself realizing it was none of my buisiness. Do you ever get caught up in gossip, either speading it or listening to it? How does it make you feel? Or have you ever been the subject of gossip? I've probably been the subject of gossip but I don't really let it get to me. Now getting caught up in gossip, yeah, I'm prone to that. I know I gossip on here about what's going on in the office and I gossip about people from RichardMarx.com I don't like. I'm a bad girl, yes, I know.
3. In a relationship, when your other takes a dig at you (read: a fight), do you go for the jugular and get "in their face" or try to peacefully smooth things out and have a calm discussion? I used to go for the jugular and still do sometimes but I'm learning to have a calm disscussion.
4. A friend once told me "You can tell when someone is bored with what you are saying to them when they reply with 'That's interesting.'" And I have found this to be pretty dang true. How do you know when someone has lost interest in what you are saying? It's usuallly "ok" or "k." With the "k" one, I usually go "Who got the strikeout?" K is a baseball sign for strikeout.
5. Ever get jealous of the popularity other Blogs? I'd be lying if I said no but sometimes, I am. Other times, I just remember that those that do read me enjoy me. I'm starting to grow in popilarity a bit, I think. ![]()
6. What is your favorite dirty word? (those who don't curse can pick your favorite happy word) I
"Fuck." I try not to use all that much but when Nicki and I are watching baseball, we scream it a lot at the screen.
7. (the continuing story...) OK, we are definitely doing that again. But seeing as it is nearly 6am now, how about breakfast? Anywhere you'd like to go or should we fix our own? What do you like? Or is there something else we need to do first? There's Tybee Island not that far from me. Want to sunrise out on the beach?
BONUS: What have I done to deserve this? Nothing - it's just bound to happen.

Good luck with school! What are you reading for your English class?
Posted by: Eve at June 3, 2002 3:28 PMThanks
I had to buy a collegiate dictionary. The books used in this course are the 3rd edition of The Scribners Handbook For Writers and the 7th edition of The Bedford Reader.
Neat! I wish my school offered summer classes (they have research, but that's just simply not the same). Good luck.
Good luck today Shawn. I'll be thinking about ya!
