"Friday Five"

1. What's the last vivid dream that you remember having? This last down I wrote down and could remember the details from May 7th: "Last night, I had a dream I was at an amusement park and tornados started to hit the park. My mother and I climbed into a shelter area. But the tornados were just a stunt to draw people into the shelter where it first climbed into the air and then shot back to below the ground. Then you went into a maze. And didn't you know, I blew the maze! I kept throwing weapons to the virtal Abe Lincoln who happened to be the killer in the murder mystery in the maze. It was but freaky and stupid."

2. Do you have any recurring dreams? Not really. Excpet if you call having the same players in my dreams recurring.

3. What's the scariest nightmare you've ever had? My teeth falling out. That's pretty bad. Or being torn away form my family. Those are pretty bad, too.

4. Have you ever written your dreams down or considered it? Why or why not? In my blog, the Wednesday Whimsy asks for a dream each week. I call whenever I put a dream down into words the "Shawn's Comedy Dream Sequence!"

An example of the "Shawn's Comedy Dream Sequence!" from a dream from February 27th:

Now to the dreams part of the post. I had some wacky storylines in my dreams. Some of the things I remember in this dream: our black and white cat Lucky; Spring Lake, NC; Barry Zito of the Oakland A's; pageant crowns; Mexico; A secret military camp called Camp Jenkins; Joey of *NSYNC; my mother's friend Alice; a chinook; my car; a black truck; my father's truck; a basketball; and our gray and white cat Christopher; Nicki and me on "Survivor;" and my best friend from 1st grade, Dana Roggie.

For some reason, "Survivor" was being filmed on Dana's property. Nicki really wanted to win "Survivor" and I didn't want to be there. So I got myself booted and spent the rest of the time catching up with Dana, who I haven't seen since 2nd grade. I was also being hounded by the news for being the first person being kicked off the island.

Then, I ended up at home. Alice had called asking me to come out to Tybee for Halloween. It's February and I'm dreaming about Halloween? Did I sniff some Pikachu hair last night? Chinooks kept flying over our home full of some kid soldiers and their friends. A basketball fell from the chinook and onto my father's truck. As I was on the phone with Alice, I had to check on the truck, Christopher darted out of the house. Then a parade of drunk soldiers and their friends came down my house and in the parade, was Joey Fatone! I started chewing his bum out about my father's vehicle.

Next, I was in the back seat of our old Ford Taurus. We were in Spring Lake, NC. I was holding a yellow sash and a pageant crown. This is where Barry Zito came in. He was on the other side of the car, doing what I was. We got in a fight with the person in the middle that was stepping on his sash he was to hold. I was upset about the stepping on it. Barry told me to leave the guy alone. Then we were driving next to this Camp Jenkins. My mother was driving and didn't like what she saw. She told us all to look away.

In a blink of the eye, I was in Mexico with Lucky, some of the characters from the previous sequences and some foster children looking for a home. We were trying to get out of Mexico and get back home. The only way back to the States for us was this rope bridge. I was holding poor Lucky. One of the children went ahead of me and the bridge broke. I didn't want to lose Lucky. She was scared as is. I was able to hand Lucky to the other child and get myself across when I woke up.

5. Have you ever had a lucid dream? What did you do in it? From the Tuesday Too for March 12th. 1.) Lucid dreaming is operationally defin

I always enjoy reading about dreams.... the mind can be such a funny thing!! Plus it's nice to see that I'm not the only one who has some TOTALLY freaky dreams that I'm goin' "what the hay?!" about!! I kind of wish that you could turn dreams on and off.... have them when you want, and stuff. Because sometimes I have dreams about people and things that I would just as soon forget. Getting over someone, or forgetting about something can be ten times as hard when you keep dreaming that they're still in your life. Anyway..... buh bye for now!!

Man aren't dreams funky? I thought I was the only one who had those dreams like that. (the ones where you wake up asking yourself "what the ****?") Mine usually happen after a stressfull couple weeks(when aren't they?) and then EVERYTHING that has happened or I have seen or done melds into one big confusing strange dream. People from one state are in another, I'm back at my middle school, I see Chris K at some sort of outdoor game and just "know" the rest of the group is in the bleachers somewhere around me.... Wierd.
