I spent about 45 mintues just plucking away at my guitar trying to figure out the fingering for chords and then trying to tune it. I'm lost!
My mom believes I'll learn it. I joked it would take me 20 years to do it.
Some days I have determination. Other days I just don't.
Anyone want to help me?

I had a really hard time at first too.... and I still do sometimes. I don't know near as many chords as I probably should for as long as I've had a guitar. My dad plays really well.... and he tries to teach me sometimes. That doesn't always work as planned, but oh well. 
Just work on your guitar on the days where you have determination.... that's what I do!! If you make yourself do it when you REALLY don't feel like it... you might end up hating it. Just take your time and have fun!! Oh and go to www.cyberfret.com That might offer some more help!! Enjoy!!
