Because two fire trucks just blared by the near by major road.
I really need to clean but my mother went shopping for cleaning items so I'll post at the moment.
If you work in a service industry, I don't care how much you hate a client/customer, you should never be mean to them. After all, without them and there money, you wouldn't get money.
One of the worst examples of customer service happen at work yesterday. A client was talking to G and they were cut off. G had to leave the office. When the guy called back, V answered the phone and then H took the phone from her.
This is where the nightmare begins. H kept telling the guy "Call your mortgage company! I'm not your mortgage company! Call them!" I don't know what went down on his end. I don't think he was getting the point of what G originally told him and H wasn't helping at all.
During one point, H held the receiver away and muttered nder her breath "f---ing a----le" but it was loud enough V could hear it and I heard it. I wouldn't be surprised if the client heard it. A couple of minutes later, with the client still on the phone, she threw the phone down. V picked up the phone, H took itinto her office and after a few more minutes, got rid of the guy and started screaming about how stupid he was.
J heard half of went down and couldn't believe what happened. When H left the office, V and J were discussing what happened. J couldn't believe the whole time this happened, H never got the guy's file to see what was going on in his case. V was just appauled at H's action toward the guy.
It was rude and it was ugly. I don't know will happen Monday in regards to this story. I was turning red at this. It doesn't reflect kindly toward the office. It was embarassing.
I don't care if the guy was driving her crazy. Yes, I do get frustrated at some of our clients and their demands. And I'll vent. But since the client is the one paying our office for help and service, I'll be polite to them. And most of them are already at their wit's end with their finances. Sometimes a soothing voice is all they need. They don't want a person yelling at them like yesterday's event.
Now it's raining in Savannah.
After work, Nicki and I went off. We spent $9.52 total on 2 CD's, a Pepsi, a side order of garlic bread, and 1 Meat Lover's pizza. Sound crazy doesn't it? It isn't.
First, I had a $15 certificate at Media Play. I found the Fuel album with "Bad Day" on sale for $9.99. And the Silver Side Up by Nickelback was on sale for $13.99. That's where we spent the $9.52. We must have spent a good hour in there.
Then we went to the Pizza Hut across the street to dine. We got Nicki's Pepsi and our garlic bread fair quickly for it being busy and only having two waitresses. We must have been sitting for 45 minutes before our waitress found our pizza. The kitchen never told her it was ready when she kept looking for it. Because of what happened to us and your not complaining, I guess, we got the whole meal free.
Not a bad night for $9.52!
Ok, the sun's coming back out. A quick shower for the moment. Now to clean.

yes, people need to re-learn customer service skills. i work w/the public, and i try, lord knows i try to be nice and kind to these people.
but on that note, these people need to realize that the world doesn't revolve around them. if they have an issue with their seats, don't YELL at ME about it, i didn't sell you the ticket. if your ticket does not say "club seat access" on it, don't yell at me when i say you can't go up. i admit to getting testy with these guests, but then they come to me with a big attitude, acting like because they are at the hockey game, or concert, or whatever..they deserve all of us to bend over and let them walk all over us. it ain't gonna happen.
i have lost my cool with guests one or 2 times(at WWF when i TOLD them to go to their seats, and they wouldn't listen, so i had to yell, and when people just RAN up the club stairs w/o showing me their ticket.)but for the most part, i hold my rage until i get down to the locker room.
ok that was long and rambly..lol
Posted by: S at May 18, 2002 1:26 PMgeeze, I'm glad there are people who know what customer service is! When I was working, I often got commendations for customer service. That's because I truely care about every person who came into my business. Sure it was a casino and not a law office, but you'd be surprised at how demanding casino gamblers are! Anyway, at least you know you're the most sane one in the office :-)
Silver Side Up is a great album! You & Nicki should enjoy it :-)
Anyway, keep having a great weekend.
Now and Forever,
Liz
Ok now explain to me why it's good to be the snae one.. lol

Posted by: Dragon at May 18, 2002 4:13 PMHey girl! Sounds like Friday was a bad day! Only $9.52 for all that... way to go! Sometimes being patient does pay off! LOL
Thanks for the little note about having fun yesterday. I did. I had a lot of fun and the pain I'm still in today was well worth it!
Off to run errands and then to the other house to unpack. I'll be around later tonight to check email before going to bed.
Have a good day!
Posted by: Tammtamm at May 19, 2002 10:42 AMYou're right, S. They shouldn't treat us like crap
as some do. I've run into some S.O.Bs and bitches in my job. But it still didn't give H right to be that ugly to the guy.
I'm enjoying the CD, Liz.
Trish - being sane helps you from lashing out. That's why I stay insane on this.
Sorry I haven't been on much, Tamm. Maybe next weekend I'll be on! It should be a three day one, I think.
