What The Hell Were They Doing?
May 1, 2002

I posted this back when I used Blogger on June 14th: "Now this is heartbreaking: Does Anyone Know Her?: Decapitated Girl Remains Unidentified Weeks After Slaying. Someone out there must be missing her." Well, they may have found out who the girl is. Miami Girl Discovered Missing, After a Year. I have got to love this! Child welfare agents were to monitor Rilya every month. As far as the child's grandmother knew, the little girl was safe.

Like my title for this post says, what the hell were they doing? Honestly, how could they allow this child slip through the cracks. My God, this scares me.

For everyone sakes, I do hope can find Precious Doe's killers and they do find out what happened to Rilya Wilson, even if she does turn out to be Precious Doe. This is horrible, I hope Miami-Dade will get punished for what happened to Rilya and family and the Kansas City police will find Precious's killers.

AMEN! I've been following this case for the year since the poor little girl was found decapitated in a public park miles from my home. It's so sick that someone could do a thing like that to begin with, but realizing that that girl may have been taken from her home by people who were supposedly working for the state!

It just goes to show that we need to see id from everyone! We can't even feel safe with "child welfare" people who come to our homes. We can't even feel safe if someone who is supposed to be a police officer pulls us over. It's sad and sick.

I pray they find out who the poor little girl is. And if it is the girl from Florida, I grieve for her and for her grandmother and any other family she has.

Press confrence at 3 pm here in KC. Hopefully there's an answer to this sick tragedy.

Now and Forever,
Liz

Let me know what you find out. It broke my heart when I first read about and it still breaks now, for "Precious," Rilya, and her grandmother.

Well, sadly, the results were inconclusive :-( The handprint they had onhand for Rilya doesn't match that of Precious Doe. But the handprint they used is not nessessarily that of Rilya. It was one of those home-type identification thingies... there was no photograph, and no signature. They're tying to track down Rilya's mother so they can get a DNA sample. In a way I'm glad because at least it means Rilya can still be alive somewhere. But I hope they can find out who Precious is and who could have hurt such an innocent little girl.

I hope that Rilya is still alive but then part of me hope she's Precious just so everyone can get peace on these two cases. But I know Precious is now God's littel angle and no matter what is happening with Rilya, God is with her, too. Maybe Rilya is with a family that really do love her and wanted her. At least we can hope. But they are still heartbreaking cases.
