I'm back! Did you miss me? Be honest! I doubt you missed me. That's ok, I'm used to being the not noticed wallflower.
Before I start another marathon post, first let me say HAPPY 22nd BIRTHDAY, NICKI! Yup, it's her birthday, today.
Nashville was interesting. We spent most of the time either on the road between there and here or at Grandpa's home with Seglenda. Seglenda is my cousin's wife. Met Grandpa's lady friend, Carol. I didn't really speak much because let's face it, I am boring and I don't interact all too well with other people.
My mother was telling everyone that after watching one of the news magazines the other night, she's concluded that I was hyperlexic but have grown out of it. No, I haven't. Or so I think. Yesterday while my mother was talking to Seglenda, Melissa, and Carol, I was sitting in the corner reading a U.S. Weekly News magazine. Also, I rather be in another room watching the Braves game than talk.
My mother pulled me aside and told me that I shouldn't cry because I don't talk. She wished she could be quiet like me. She feels she talks too much. I think it's a lot easier to talk more than not talk at all. Besides, it seems like whenever I talk to ANYONE, they zone off to something else, leaving me there with my jaw open in a middle of a story. You know how painful that is for someone like me? It's all I can do to talk and then being abandoned in a conversation like that hurts. It makes me feel like what I was saying doesn't matter. I can't seem to relate to anyone.
Ok, enough about that. The rest of my family had a great time. That's all that matters.
Let's more on to something a little more cheery. Monday Mission time!
1. What caused your last case of psuedo-road rage? I try not to get angry when driving so I can't remember.
2. Tell me about one of your favorite television shows that was cancelled (past or present). Anyone remember Just The Ten Of Us? It was a spin off of Growing Pains and had Jamie Luner as the ditzy twin, "Cindy." My family hated it when that show got canned. We loved it.
3. Have you ever gone online and pretended to be someone else? What's the story there? No. It's all I can do to be me. Why fake to be someone else?
4. What was (is) one of your favorite Children's books? Wait Til Helen Comes. It's a ghost story but a very good one.
5. Can you recommend a CD (tape or otherwise) for me to listen to on the drive home? I can listen to all of Repeat Offender by Richard Marx while traveling.
6. What is your online nickname and what is the story behind how you selected it? Peachy92 is my online nickname for the most part. Peachy comes from living in Georgia. 92 is the year I became a Richard Marx fan. I was going to have my own fan page on him and needed a Hotmail account for the site. And a Geocities account for the site. After about 5 years, it's stuck and there's no shaking it.
7. Ever been bitten or stung before (snake, wasp, dog, etc)? Back when I was 11, I got stung by a yellow jacket. Everyone thought I was acting silly over it. But it was my first time being stung and it hurt!
BONUS: Does anybody love anybody anyway? I honestly don't know, anymore.
Since I have the day off due to traveling back from Nashville, I might change the blog listing on the left a bit to make a Georgia catagory.

I missed you!!! :-D
you're a shy person, there's nothing wrong with that. nothing at all. and sometimes, not talking is a lot better than just saying what you are thinking. i do both, and guess what gets me in trouble?

Then I also liked "Out of this World" where the mom and daughter lived on earth..but the father lived on another planet and they would talk to him thru this weird orb thing. Then there was one where THis family had a daughter who was really a Robot..she wore a red dress with white trim..I have tried to remember that show, but can't for the life of me! Talk to you soon
Posted by: AmberLou at April 15, 2002 9:31 PM"Small World" is the one with the robot. Our local CBS when I was 11 had "Punky Brewster" and "Small World" come on every day at 4! Loved that hour.
