If Fox News goes down, so will the others.

First they came for the communists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a communist;
Then they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist;
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist;
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew;
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak out for me.

And yet I feel like that when I read about White House attacking Fox News.

My opinion: Memo to Obama Administration:  Grow Up

I find it classless that the Obama administration is shutting out Fox News.  Actually, I find it scary.  The point of the news media is to report the good, the bad, and the ugly.  But shutting out Fox News like they are, they are sending the message that if you report what we don’t like, you can’t report at all.  It screams to me as an attempt to pressure the masses to agree with the administration.

Had this been the Bush administration pulling the same stunt with MSNBC or CNN, you know that there would be outcries of the US turning into a socialist state with the government controlling the news!  And yet, many liberals are telling those that support Fox News that this isn’t the case with the Obama administration.

Excuse me?  No administration should be doing this.  If the Bush administration did this, I would be just as pissed.

What scares me is that the government is taken baby steps here and there to suppress our freedoms.  Sure, it’s legal now to freeze out Fox, which many people hate with a passion.  But what if another news network starts reporting or airing anything that comes out negatively?  Is the Obama administration going to freeze them out as well?

Some people take into account the hidden ACORN tapes.  They like to say that the ACORN offices were just yanking the chains of the undercover kids.  So what?  The kids were trying to set up a criminal enterprise.  Instead of yanking the chains of those kids by saying something like “I can get you even cheaper prostitutes,” what the ACORN officials should have said was “Stop right now!  I refuse to discuss this illegal matter any more” and threatened to turn the kids into the cops.  But doing anything other than trying to stop the criminal enterprise, it feels as if ACORN was approving of it in some manner.

And yet there are still people out there blind to this whole thing!  Isn’t that scary?

I also e-mailed my senators as why they voted no on Amendment S.2588. I want to know their rational.  Based on my research, they voted no on the amendment.  Why?  Was it because of the whole bill?  What was it?

Personally, I don’t trust both parties.
