I wonder if some folks are disappointed when they smell something getting barbecued on their way in, only to find out there's nothing available at the snack bar, since it was just some nut job(aka stuntman) getting set on fire and running the bases?... lol

I thought Kauffman Stadium (or whatever it might be called today) was the best place I had ever seen a game, a beautiful park with very friendly people. Of course my opinion may have been swayed a bit because I ended up sitting with some of the KC players wives for part of a game. And another game I sat in a seat right behind vistors dugout. I still remember Omar Vizquel glaring at me, probably because I had my feet up on their dugout.

How was the new stadium of the Cardinals? Did you visit the giant arch? Sounds like you had a busy and fun vacation.

My mom said when she was little, there was a gorilla by the entrance to the Kansas City Zoo and he peed on people when they came in.

I think I have one Richard Marx CD, from the early 90's, and that's probably the last time I listened to it, lol.

Good to see you're still posting, after having your blog come up as 'Suspended' the last time I stopped by.

Finding a 'home' can be a hard thing to do. Not just the structure to live in, or it's location. Friends, family, work, church, and school type aspects and distance can influence a decision.

My own experience with growing up as an Army brat and frequent moves has left me with my own lingering questions of what/where is 'home' and will I ever be able to define it. I hope you reach the point where you can do that. :)

Maybe she just hated sports and consequently sports fans. I'm not American but it seems to me that a lot of todays greatest athletes are African-American, so the only reason I could think she said that was that she hated sports. Oh well, each to their own.
Your story made me laugh though. Thanks for that :) I think I'd have had a hard time stopping myself from laughing if I were in your position on that train. Only respect for others would have stopped me.
